Patient Access Representative

True North Neurology is seeking a Customer Service / Patient Access Representative who is highly motivated and possesses excellent communication skills to join our team. This is a full time position and requires flexible hours, including Saturday availability.

This position assists with patient care including the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments and review the appointment date, time, location and provider name with each caller
  • Inform caller of items to bring to their appointment such as insurance card, medication, copay, etc.
  • Keep patient demographics updated
  • Direct calls to other departments as needed
  • Understand when to escalate calls to triage nurse or office manager as needed
  • Manage high volume phone calls
  • Use of electronic medical records
  • Ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent customer relations.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience in the medical field preferred
  • Bilingual a plus
